A boulle work and black lacquer long case clock by Benjamin Lewis Vulliamy (1780-1854) decorated with tortoise shell, semi-precious stones and gilt bronze mounts.

The movement is a double Fusee, and chimes on the hour.

Dated 1846, signed Vulliamy, London. Serial number: 1763

The Vulliamy family firm obtained the appointment of Clockmaker's to the Crown in 1742, which it held for 112 years.
