A laminated mahogany 6 inch electromagnetic Barlow globe by Philip Harris Ltd of Birmingham.

The instrument is named after the mathematician and physicist Peter Barlow FRS (1776-1862) who first showed his globe at the Royal Institution, London, in 1824.
