A mahogany pedestal desk with gilt bronze mounts, designed by Thorvald Bindesbøll, made by Severin and Andreas Jensen of Copenhagen.

Thorvald Bindesbøll (21 July 1846 – 27 August 1908) was a Danish National romantic architect, sculptor and ornamental artist. He received a Gold Medal at the Paris Exposition Universelle (1900) for his décor of the Danish exhibition.
