A pair of WWII Ross pedestal mounted 20 x 160 mm “King Kong” binoculars with 45˚ inclined oculars, with 45 degree Schmidt roof prism, and coated optics. Serial number 124990.

The oculars can be focused from -3 to + 3 dioptre.

This model of binocular was made by Ross of London for the British Admiralty for use on the Rock of Gibraltar and on the Fortress of Malta. They were dubbed "King Kong" in reference to their size.

This is only one of two known models of this binocular.
